The Philips Norelco Razor range is one of the most popular and well regarded on the market today. The term Norelco is actually the American brand name for all electric shavers and other personal care products made by Philips. Outside the USA the products are marketed under the Philishave or Philips brands.

Philips have a long history of making electric razors, producing their first commercial model in 1939, which came to market in the USA in 1948. They followed this up with the first two-headed model in 1951,
